In bloom and fragrant. Do you remember who showed you how to drink the tiny bubble of nectar?

No, but I remember exactly where I was standing in the dusty lane at the top of the stone steps leading down to our house on the cove. Thanks for reminding me.

We were 4 young deperados, out of grade school and hot and sweaty from a humid June bike ride, when we found a big thicket of honeysuckle down near the lake. Quenching our thirst one precious drop at a time, we pondered how many blossoms it would take to fill a cup -- or maybe just a thimble? Sort of like knowing how many angels can dance on the head of a pin -- never found the answer.
