Bought this to make pomegranate and brown lentil salad, after reading about it. Haven't cooked the lentils yet, but the weekend is coming soon.

We are on a lentil kick, here. Trader Joes has beautiful, tiny french lentils, all steamed and then shrink wrapped and refrigerated. Keeps in fridge for 3 months, unopened. It's been my latest side "starch" in place of rice or bread--just sautee some veggies in garlic, fresh herbs, season with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper and a squeeze of lime juice--open lentils and stir. Great cold, too!
There is something about the present-ness of this pomegranate, the way it seems to be sitting on the page and not painted on, that I really like.
