I love this. Being brave enough and having enough vision to include unusual colours in an otherwise ordinary object is just so clever, and something I haven't yet figured out how to do (nor had the courage to try very much). I'm fascinated by the way that, although feet arent' generally blue, there's is absolutely nothing unnatural about this picture.

I think the simplicity of the ink with the watercolour works very well too.

The color choices have partly been a playful response to a very limited palette - until this week, I only had ten watercolor crayons. Now that I have forty(!) I will try to keep experimenting.
