Sketchbook number seven takes flight? It goes up onto the shelf, anyway. This drawing (on day 286) begins little moleskine sketchbook number eight. Numbers can be a comfort when so much is unmeasurable.

What are lessons learned from this year? I know from being a "regular" to check out your progress that *I've* learned that the days the drawing is crummy don't matter as much because I'm too busy doing the next drawing. When I flip back, some still look crummy, but the overall effect of a book full is a happy feeling.

I guess I used the word unmeasurable to try to express the un-weighable differences between one day and another for me. I feel such variation in them. The steadiness of pages turning and the slow accumulation of sketchbooks gives me a reassuring sense of every day as a different present moment.
