new toy

Just found this via Jason Kottke.

I have always liked the idea of wikis but have not known where to start with them myself. TiddlyWiki, a non-linear personal web notebook created by Jeremy Ruston, is a nifty bit of html, css, and javascript that I cannot resist playing with. The whole thing is one self-contained html file. No server-side nothing. Amazing. Do I know what I am going to do with it yet? No. Do I know that I am going to spend the next few hours/days/weeks playing with it? Definitely.

FrenchEnhancementOfTiddlyWiki

Hello, Called TidliPo : From TiddlyWiki of course, and OUvroir de LItterature POtentielle from post surrealist Raymond Queneau. I added breaks, international characters and a few style enrichments to Jeremy Ruston's original. Already used it for a booklet in training.

A sample TidliPo can be seen bottom of this page : http://avm.free.fr/article.php3?id_article=18

Wonderful! Thanks for letting me know about your enhancements. I look forward to exploring your work and sharing it with my students (and I wish my French were better).

TidliPo is a great name, too - love the connection with OuLiPo. I had thought of Italo Calvino's work in connection with TiddlyWikis, but not Queneau et al.
