Good things come in threes...
Arm of an upstairs lamp.

This one escaped the pie-making. One of the last little local apples from our farm share.
To be cubed and then roasted as part of the feast tomorrow.

Tangled rootlets on this daikon radish make me think of an old man's beard - or perhaps a sea creature. This is from our last crate of farm vegetables for the season, which means that it's almost Thanksgiving.

Visited older son at Carleton College - this is the chapel, just before sunset. I grew up half a block from the campus, so it was wonderful to be back again. Much has changed, but the chapel still has the same silhouette against the sky. We used to play a running and hiding game called, "No ghosts are out tonight," using the chapel steps as home base, just as it was getting dark...
