Really? Now? It's nearly July, and these are in my hotel room. A closer look- they're artificial, probably chosen by someone who doesn't think about how seasonal they are.
From memory.
The material is some sort of plush or velvet, soft and not scratchy.
I love looking out any window - but especially a classroom window - and seeing trees and horizon.

Sat by the pool this morning, even though it was long-sleeved shirt weather. Read my book, drew, enjoyed the sun and breeze.

A carafe of water sits on the table by the bed in my hotel room. Each evening, I move it to the table on the other side of the bed, so that I can keep my recharging electronics and their cords away from water. So far, the person who takes care of the room kindly tidies the carafe back to that side of the bed again. I may give up and move the electronics tonight, instead.
This not-quite-ripe lemon had fallen onto the walk beside a friend's house. The scent of it is intensely lemon-y and slightly spicy. I'm not used to seeing trees loaded with bright lemons among the green leaves. So much abundance. So much to be grateful for.
I will be traveling more than usual this summer - but expect to have internet access. If there's a gap in posting, please don't worry - I'm still drawing, it just means that I arrived somewhere too late to figure out the hotel wifi code, and then headed into a day of meetings. This is the view from the Pittsburgh airport as I was waiting for a delayed flight.
"Did you eat those after you painted them?" asked my daughter. "Of course," I said.
