I think this might be a viburnum, but it was only beginning to leaf out, and had only a few scattered blossoms. (I had some free time this afternoon before my flight, so I sat on a bench along the High Line, drew in my sketchbook and watched people take photos of each other.)
A sliver of city lights and river.
Sunset over the river. I'm visiting New York and the hotel room's view is spectacular. Feel rather as if I've stepped into a movie set.
Everything burst into bloom at once today.
After a decaf espresso, fun to look at the shadows on our eccentric little coffee cups. We have a pair of them, gotten as part of some liqueur promotion.
The alstroemeria from more than a week ago have still not wilted. A few petals have dropped, and the leaves are beginning to fade and twist, but we'll get a few more days with them.
One of my husband's shoes was beside his chair this evening.

Not all the daffodils from the grocery store will open. I don't think I noticed before today how much a daffodil in bud looks like a paintbrush.

Seems odd that the letter S is only worth one point when it's of such strategic importance. (I've been playing more Scrabble lately, in a number of online versions.)
