Seen from the car, as we were headed home again from Maryland on interstate and turnpike. No leaves on any trees and spring still seems far in the future, but the hills and farms stretched into the distance, and I felt the space and hope and possibility.

After day one of the National Conference on Girls' Education. Tired, but our workshop presentation is over (Robot Kits Across the Curriculum) and was well received, so now my colleague and I can just go to sessions, learn things, and fill ourselves up with ideas for the next day and a half. And yes, the hotel room has two wallpaper designs, three sets of curtains, and patterned carpeting - no two the same.

We saw an enormous orange moon rise as we took the highway to Washington, DC.  It led us along as the dark settled around it and the road signs got more confusing. And then suddenly there we were in the city with a street grid and our map. Found the hotel without difficulty.

Thanks to the wonderful support I get from vervehosting.com - all is fixed and images are uploading properly. (If you are looking for hosting for your website, I wholeheartedly recommend Verve - they've always been incredibly responsive and helpful.)

Hmm. for some reason the image isn't uploading - an internal server error. I'll see if a text-only entry will post, and will try again in the morning.

One of a pair bought today. The two spots are in a straight line, instead of on the diagonal, as I remember on other dice.
