day2468.jpg

Not empty; full of air.
day2467.jpg

This week Friday feels like a Monday, because school was closed for a Thursday holiday. But the Friday/Monday is also a Friday, because it's followed by the weekend. Confused? A very short, one-day week.

This telescoping wooden backscratcher came with something I ordered online. It reminds me that when our oldest child was in preschool, we had a backscratcher hanging beside the bathroom light switch, so that he could turn the light on and off by himself.

As tall as I am.

Cords and cables to charge electronic devices.

On the table after homework was (mostly) done.

And as a side note, I've noticed that after the permissions fix which got me able to post again, the tag cloud in the sidebar is finally working again.  This means that you can click on a tag like "pencil" and find sketches I've tagged with that word.

Wood grain-patterned hair clip belonging to my daughter.
Sorry - my site has been found by a comment spammer, and I've been getting over 3000 junk comments a day.  This has made it hard to see and approve your real comments when my inbox is so full, and I'm just spending too much time deleting spam.

So... I'm turning comments off for a while.  I'll give it a month, and then (shh...) turn comments back on again, in hopes that the spammer will have given up and we can go back to our conversations.

Meanwhile, you can always email me: mail at-sign elizabethperry dot etc.  Thanks!

And now, a return to the regular rhythm of daily posting. Thanks for your patience during the gap.
Sorry about the unexpected pause - all is resolved and regular posts (including the daily drawings from this past week) will be back tomorrow night.

No one has a cold. Therefore we have a box of tissues.

Roll of scotch tape, drawn in white china marker on the white page.  I'm always surprised by these resist drawings, since I can't see the lines until after I paint over them. Here I can feel the energy of the roll, like some kind of exploded machine.

This may be the last week of the season for local peaches.
day2447.jpg

Clean, mostly folded.  Do I put it away? Hm... maybe I'll draw it.

Half a candle and candlestick. I got interested in the path of the line on the page.

It's been raining off and on all day. I decided to try to draw the sound of the water outside my window.
