rose at night

Sat in the back yard tonight as everything got darker and darker. Painted this rose to see what happens when I just keep looking and sketching in the dark.  I know where the colors are in my palette, but once the brush is loaded with color, I can't see color differences on the page.

Hello,
Yesterday I visited an exhibition in Brasilia - a tribute to Margaret Mee, the famous botanic illustrator. On a video she related how she met and painted with watercolor a rare flower in Amazonia - the Moon flower - that blossons only in May, at night, and exhales a delicious perfume.
Your rose is lovely too...

Oh, that exhibition sounds inspiring.
