City pools are not yet open for the season, so we visited a nearby suburb today. This drawing was done with china marker, in white on the white paper. Then I washed over it with color so that the lines would show up. The process is full of chance and happy accident, as I can't see the drawing until I add paint.
Electroluminescent wire, ready to be put into a project of my own after last weekend's workshop. I think it's going to illuminate the back of a thrift shop jacket.
The trees outside have green leaves opening, softening city views, erasing background detail and painting it over with cloudlike rustling shapes. And a more organized person would have drawn such a tree today, instead of arriving home after dark, after the child's school event, and saying, "Ah, a green toothpick."
