jelly beans

Still a few jelly beans left in the house.

Which brand of oil pastels do you use? They have a nice, delicious colour!

These were a splurge - Sennelier. Then I used Liquin and a Q-tip to blend the color. All very juicy on the page, but the Liquin took a long time to dry, and kept reflecting the camera flash - another time, I'll use this combination earlier in the day...

Ah, splurge indeed. Going by the reviews on DickBlick though, looks like its totally worth it.

I have had fun messing with oil pastels using a regular brush and linseed oil. But my sketchbook paper couldn't handle it. The oil penetrated the paper and showed up as a grey blob on the other side. Oh well.
