before the snow

From our third floor attic windows we look out through chimneys and treetops at taller buildings and a church spire in the distance. Late this afternoon, the freezing rain turned to heavy snow. We may get half a foot or more through the night. After 60-degree temperatures at the end of last week, a sudden return of winter.

Thats a charming view. I love the greyed out distance.

Winter gave us a recent visit too. Dropped a foot of powder Sunday morning.

Greatest snow on earth.

Elizabeth, I love visiting woolgathering. I love your drawings and paintings and comments. It makes life so simple and it is such a pleasure watching your drawings flourish and grow. You manage to capture the essence of everything you do.

Thanks for the quiet moments I experience here.
