And when I think more carefully about the Jumblies, I remember that their hands, not toes, were blue.
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
A local art supply store was having a sale, so I replaced my three Niji waterbrushes - all at once, instead of one at a time, as I usually do. After about a year of near-daily use, I find they gradually begin to clog, and it's harder and harder to squeeze water from them while I'm painting. With the new ones, all I need is a light press, and water flows into the brush. A treat.
Went for a family hike and picnic in the woods today, even though the weather turned cool and drizzly. Trails led through old growth forest - tall, tall hemlocks and pines. When we came out of the forest, we walked back along a creek. There were footbridges, but also places where you could make it across on stepping stones. Here's our youngest, crossing solo.
