As I paint, the bottle breaks into a collection of abstract shapes and colors. I stop painting and see the bottle again.

One child's white sock. When they come back from the wash, they are like snowflakes - no two alike. I'm sure they went in as pairs, but they have stretched or shrunk on their own schedules.
The tops of pencils seem somehow architectural to me - I'm reminded of deco skyscrapers and distant medieval towers.
You can now buy rubber bands which default to dinosaur shapes. So we've gotten them.

With the recent unseasonably warm weather (five days of 75-85 degree F), many things have burst into bloom at once. Tonight in our yard I noticed: daffodils, vinca, grape hyacinth, wood hyacinth, two varieties of species tulip, crab apple, juneberry, and lilacs just beginning to open.
Freezing rain or snow in the prediction for Friday... we ate supper outside tonight.
A small handful of sunflower seeds - good for a quiet snack.
It's not a great distance from our kitchen to our living room, but someone brought along a water bottle for the trek, and left it there for me to draw.
Sunny Sunday - we spent much of it in the yard.
These soybeans make a great snack. (Please excuse the peculiar coloring - I misplaced my camera this evening, and had to make do with a phone cam snapshot. I'll replace the photo with a clearer one tomorrow. ...photo replaced.)
