One of those words I have trouble spelling on grocery lists. (Parsely is almost always my reflex spelling, even though I know it is wrong.) As a child, I didn't see the point of parsley - why put it on the plate if it wasn't necessary to eat it? Why did it have that scratchy green taste? And now... hmm. It's not the first thing I reach for, but when I have it and remember to use it in recipes, I like what it adds to the combination of flavors. And I love how it can add a gesture to the edge of a plate.
