lilacs fading



They droop, but I still love to look at the color...


I love this image--the graceful droop of the flowers, the lovely combination of the color wash over the ink lines (it feels as if it flowed easily off your pen and brush). I have a thing for what happens as flowers wilt and dry up--they are sometimes every bit as beautiful and interesting as the fresh shapes! Although I'm sure not as lovely to the rest of my family!

Have you decided what to post at CF this week? These are lovely.


Sukie: I love wilted flowers - tulips get especially wild and pinwheel-like as they age, but I like them all.

Cooper: I've been thinking about spring and the hillsides in our city parks, so I think I'll post something along those lines for this week's Pittsburgh drawing at CF.
