I was given some ginger candy for Easter. Of course I had to eat this one, in order to draw the wrapper.


1) Only one line of print, yet I have this tangible sense that goes beyond the visual.
2) The simple lines, contrasts, and use of blank white space encourage projecting my own creative story.
3) Did you subtly mimic the tear at the bottom of the page with the grey wc further up (or vice versa)? Intent or not, I think it adds interest.
4) Am I just too contemplative of this?
5) No, I think you've mastered the art of subtle impact.
6) Thanks for the simple sketch and prose (and lesson).

It's wonderful to see the whole spread -- the edges of the paper, the little color on the side, the shadows... you really are so talented.
