dozen apples

Or, more accurately, a dozen views of the same apple. Twelve postcards made for a Valentine's Day swap. They'll be dropped in the mailbox on February 14th. (I think they were supposed to have arrived on the day, but a postmark will have to do. I kept changing my mind about what I'd paint and send, right up to the last minute.)

This is great! out. Each one has it's own special something but I really love the layout of the dozen.

Awesome, Elizabeth -- really beautiful work!

Thanks for participating!

Thank you Genine and Karen.

The thing I loved about this project (besides getting all the beautiful mail) was the thought that this is the only moment these twelve little paintings will be in one place, together. They are headed far across the world from each other, and yet they will always stay connected: in memory, and in this snapshot.

A wonderful idea. I think I will do my own postcard series. They would be such good gifts. Like the fact that you kept it simple.

I will pass it on to some of the art teachers I know. It is also something the children could do using media.

Wow SOOOOOOO lovely! Almost fell off my chair when I saw this... hope your swap partner loves it!

I got the apple postcard second from the right in the middle. It's totally cute! Thanks!

These are lovely. It's a shame to seperate them.
They look as if they should be displayed that way.

Aww, you participated in the post card swap.
I did the one last summer, but I'm quite busy right now a bit closer to home, so to speak.
I do love seeing the different artwork by other folks on their blogs.

The apples look great together like that.
Maybe they'll meet again some day.
