We got to the auditorium early for the middle school band concert, and found front row seats. I drew the microphone and a bit of the proscenium arch while listening to the musicians warming up next door in the cafeteria. Parents spoke of summer plans; younger brothers and sisters squirmed. Yellow programs were folded and refolded. The music was worth the wait - exuberant.

I loved every band concert, from the first "Hot Cross Buns" to the last one at the end of her freshman year of high school (choir and swimming took up too much time to allow for band, also).

It was so much fun to hear the improvement at every concert........

I havent dropped in for a while, such lovely little vignettes you do.

I can feel the excitement in the air! I really like the details combined with the simple vertical lines of the curtain.
