I remember ribbon candy from when I was very little - I think one of my grandmothers would get it for us. Today we saw it in the corner drugstore, so bought it for a special after supper almost-holiday treat.

hi, i love your paintings. they're so warm and lovely :) i love your watercolor paintings! i can never do watercolor like you do.

p.s. what kind of sketchbook do you use? the paper in the book looks really pretty.

Thank you so much. I use a cousin of watercolor, called gouache - it is water-based, but can be opaque as well as transparent, depending on how much water you use with it. This makes it possible to layer lighter colors over darker colors in different ways.
