It's a short sideways hop from garlands to chain letters (and we'll be back to garlands later this evening) but every so often along comes a blog meme that appeals to me.
Renown and authority online arise largely from the quality of a site's content, but reputation also comes from
So here's a list of possibly unsung blogs for you to explore. (You can think of the z-list as the opposite of the A-list - which are the blogs everyone seems to know about and link to.) I've looked at some of them and look forward to discovering others as I click my way through the list during my winter vacation...
Christine Kane was kind enough to link to me. I have added five new blogs to the bottom of the list - ones you may not have seen before, but well worth a visit.
Pow! Right Between The Eyes! Andy Nulman’s Blog About Surprise
Working at Home on the Internet
Scott Burkett’s Pothole on the Infobahn
Shut Up and Drink the Kool-Aid!
Women, Art, Life: Weaving It All Together
Ramblings from a Glass Half Full
... so those last five links are from me. You'll also find some terrific blogs via the BlogHer site and via Danny Gregory's Everyday Matters list if you are in a browsing mood.
And don't forget to check out my sidebar for other great links... links galore.
If you'd like to participate in this meme, here's how:
You create a new post on your blog, then cut and paste the list below (in Firefox, view > page source to find the code to cut and paste) and then add as many blogs as you like - blogs that you believe deserve more "link love."
I could have added many others, but I decided the round number 70 sounded good for a total, so I limited myself to adding 5, and excluded members of my immediate family (see my sidebar for those!).
The names that you add to the list can then do the very same thing on their blogs. Thus, one VERY long list will eventually get created. Some versions of the instructions suggest that you ought to remove your own blog from the list, but not everyone seems to be doing that.
