Saw a sprig of holly on the sidewalk, kept walking... then turned around, retraced my steps, and picked it up - slightly muddy. Brought it home to stick in the wreath. But I drew it first.

Thanks for the visit, I found your post through Chookooloonks and bookmarked it for just such an occasion. I love the pen and ink--but the shoes are fabulous. I'd beg for the picture and frame it and put it on the wall if you were here. My mother is an artist and has a leather bound book she takes with her on her travels that is similar to what I see here. She fills it with pen and watercolor sketches that I love. That's why I loved the palette idea, it's perfect for her.

Thanks, Sugar Mouse.

Michelle - so glad you like the little palette. I have been using it for a while now and love it. If you want a small splurge, your mother might like a waterbrush to go with it - having the water inside the handle is great for painting on the go!
