Two apples.

It is snowing - tiny rapid flakes. The kind of straight-down snowstorm where if you look long enough out into the falling snow you begin to feel yourself rising. Already a two hour delay has been called for schools in the morning.


Some parts of this no-pen color experiment look like felted wool. Maybe it's the combination of wetted places and places where the original pastel strokes are left. Whatever it is, it looks wonderfully woolly to me.

Hmm. Hadn't thought of felt till you mentioned it. Now it seems obvious - and what a great connection! I didn't wet this one, though, these pastels are so soft I can blend them on the page with my fingers. Of course my fingers get completely coated with color and smudge everything else I touch, but then that's part of the fun, and I never was known for my neatness, was I...
