From the woodfiring. This bowl was made by rolling a leaf onto a slab of clay with a rolling pin, and then gently pressing the slab and leaf into an empty cereal bowl as a mold. My daughter did most of the making, and was proud and excited to see the result.
That's a great idea. How fun it must be to do projects like this with your daughter! They grow up and move away so quickly ...
Thanks. The idea came from a workshop I took with a clay artist in my community. I remembered how well our projects had turned out - how sophisticated the designs were - and thought that an enthusiastic 4-year-old would also get good results.
