the plan

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your creative process is to go to bed two hours early.

Excellent point, very true. I find this is also the best way to cram for a test or prep for a presentation. Well-rested means nimbler thinking.

I can come up with lots and lots of ideas when I'm tired - my inner critic needs more rest than my idea-generating self, and goes to bed earlier. Editing and revising use all my senses, however, and for that work I need good sleep.
